Therapeutic Guidelines: Mobile app

The Therapeutic Guidelines mobile app provides convenient access to evidence-based clinical guidelines and therapeutic recommendations, with offline access available for uninterrupted use in areas with unreliable internet.

To install the Therapeutic Guidelines web app:

1. Search for ‘Therapeutic Guidelines’ in the App Store or Google Play.
2. Download the app and follow any standard prompts on your device to complete the installation.

Once you've installed the mobile app, you'll need to obtain an Access Key to initialise authentication (allow access) and verify your affiliation with the Australian Dental Association Limited. If you log out the mobile app, you'll need to log in using the Access Key

Obtaining the Access Key from Therapeutic Guidelines (ADA) website

These actions are performed on you mobile using a web browser

1. Use the Therapeutic Guidelines ADA link or scan the QR code above to log into Therapeutic Guidelines on the web on your mobile.
2. If an OpenAthens screen appears, requesting you to Find your institution:
   • Type in Australian
   • Select Australian Dental Association Ltd from the list
3. If prompted, log into ADA with your ADA federal membership number and password and select the sign in button
4. On the (ADA) Therapeutic Guidelines web home page:
   • Tap on ≡ (Menu)
   • Tap on Access by Australian Dental Association Limited
   • Tap on Copy access key 
     • Troubleshooting: If the 'Copy access key' option is missing, open a new Incognito tab/window or clear the browser cache and try again from Step 1.
     • Tip: Save your Access Key securely for future reuse, e.g. if you log out of the app.

Setting up access on Therapeutic Goods mobile app

These actions are performed on the Therapeutic Guidelines mobile app

1. Open the Therapeutic Guidelines mobile app.
2. Depending on your device:
   • On the home screen, click on the Access key button
   • Navigate to Menu (≡) > Log in > Access Key login
3. Tap in the Access Key box and paste the copied Access Key 
4. Click on continue / submit.
   • A success confirmation message 'Access key set' should display at the bottom of the screen (note the message appears briefly).

Maintaining access

If you log out of your mobile app, you'll need to log back in using the Access Key. If you've securely saved the Access for future re-use, follow steps 5 to 7 to log back in. If you don't have the Access Key, complete all the steps.

For security purposes, every 6 months you'll be required to re-authenticate by obtaining a new Access Key. When this occurs, complete all of the steps.

If you add a favourite or save a search, it's saved locally to your device. If you clear your browser cache, delete and reinstall the app, or switch devices, this information is lost.
